Making an Appointment
To make an appointment please call the office on 379 5060. The administration team (Dorice or Nic) will make an appointment at a time that is convenient for you.
You do not need a referral to make an appointment.
ACC claims can be registered at the clinic if your condition is the result of an accident. Work related Gradual Process Injuries must be registered with your GP prior to an appointment.
At your First Appointment
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early for your first appointment with The Hand Therapists to complete the registration form. You are welcome to bring a support person along.
Please bring any ACC information, imaging reports, referral letters or splinting you may have been provided with to your appointment.
The first appointment is usually 40 minutes duration. It will involve questions about your health and lifestyle, the injury/condition and how it is affecting your ability to participate in activity and then an examination of the injury/condition. A diagnosis and how it could be treated will then be discussed prior to initiating any treatment. You have the right to refuse any suggested treatment options.
Follow up appointments are usually 20 – 30 minutes in duration. A review of the injury/condition and any treatment will take place and be progressed or modified as required. Again, you have the right to refuse any suggested treatment.
Monday 9 am – 5pm.
Tuesday 930am – 3pm.
Wednesday 8am - 1pm.
Thursday 1pm - 5pm.
Friday 8am - 4pm.
